I Bet You Won't

Do you have what it takes to be The Donkey? Baja Bean Co. doesn’t think you do, that’s why they are betting you can’t finish their 5 lb burrito challenge. I’m not really sure why it’s called the donkey, but it probably has something to do with the fact that this thing will kick your ass! It could also have something else to do with your ass, but I’m trying to keep this site as family friendly as I can. So give this challenge a shot and let us know how you do!

Challenge: The Donkey Challenge consists of  over 5 lbs of shredded pork, ground beef, rice, black beans, baja beans, baja salsa and sour cream all rolled into 4 flour tortillas topped with lettuce, tomato, guacamole, enchilada sauce, cheddar and jack cheese.
Time Limit: 30 Minutes
People: 1
Prize: $50 gift card, a certificate of completion and a “I Am The Donkey” T-shirt. If you fail you receive the dreaded “Donkey Fail” T-Shirt.
Rules: No rules mentioned, but make sure to ask your server before attempting this challenge.

This challenge is only available on Friday nights at 7pm so stop in or call the restaurant ahead of time to put your name down for the challenge.

Challenge: 10 Tacos From Hell Challenge consists of 10 tacos covered, smothered and served with a secret hot sauce that is so hot it’s not even allowed in hell.
People: 1
Time Limit: 1 Hour
Prize: If completed the meal is free ($16.66 value), a free t-shirt and your picture on the wall of fame.
Rules: Only allowed 1 drink and 1 napkin, must finish in allotted time period and must sign up ahead of time.

Mmmmm BBQ Burrito! That’s right, if you’re looking for some sweet BBQ as well as a ridiculous food challenge, Sweet P’s in Knoxville is the place to go. Adam went toe to toe with this 4 pound beast this week and it looks delicious.

Challenge: El Gigante Comida Burrito Challenge consists of a 4 lb. burrito stuffed with coleslaw, chopped pork, bbq beans and more, plus a 1/2 pound of macaroni and cheese and a 1/2 pound of banana pudding.

Time Limit: 1 Hour
Prize: T-shirt and a poster
Rules: Not 100% sure, but obviously there’s an hour time limit and you must call in advance before attempting the challenge as it takes some time to prepare.
