One giant pancake wouldn’t be enough for this challenge, but top it with a 10-egg scramble of your choice of 4 toppings along with cheese and potatoes and now we’re talking! The Grand Slam Challenge at Batter Up Pancakes seems to be one of the most delicious mixtures of breakfast food you can imagine. I have passed this place countless times on my way through Chicago, but was completely unaware of the awesome food challenge that lurked inside it’s hallowed walls. There is nothing better than greasy breakfast food when you’re drunk or hungover, so a full mountain of the stuff is exactly what you need after a night of hard partying. Come to think of it, this would be a great challenge to attempt after going to the bars, I know I can always eat more than I normally do when I’ve got a 12 pack in my belly.

I love me some pulled pork, but when you add an extremely spicy sauce like the Voodoo Juice, I’m not sure that I could handle it. Spices and me don’t go too well together, not nearly as well as pork and I do, but as delicious as this challenge sounds I don’t think I’d be able to touch it. Food Nation traveled down the Pacific Coast Highway in California last night and to top it all off was a BBQ challenge fit for a king. The Brahma Bull Challenge at Rib Line is an enormous BBQ sandwich that is sure to make you never want to eat BBQ again… wait, what are we saying, there’s nothing that could make me not want to eat BBQ again. Man v Food Nation is in full swing and this week we got to see a guy take on a monster ice cream sundae. If you haven’t watched the episode yet I’m going to ruin it for  you, sorry. This guy was extremely impressive in his attempt to take down 15 scoops of ice cream, plus toppings, in an hour. He was so impressive in fact, that the only reason he failed is because he was too fast. If you’ve ever heard that saying that you can’t drink a gallon of milk in an hour, well this is the same idea. There’s just too much dairy there to consume in under an hour, but he would have had it had he not eaten 90% of the sundae in 15 minutes. Either way it was an impressive showing and I have no doubt that if he tried it again and paced himself he’d have no problem finishing it off.

Buffalo’s Chicken Shack in New Jersey is holding their annual Spicy Wing Challenge and registration is now open! This is not your typical challenge, this is a race. Normally you would just be competing against the clock and/or your stomach, but this time you also have to compete against others. So do you think you have what it takes to be crowned the “Buffalo King”? Then make sure to sign up soon, the contest is being held on August 27, 2011 at 3PM.
