Frittata Challenge at Mothers Cupboard

Looking for 6 pounds of breakfast food to cure that hangover from the night before, then Mother’s Cupboard is your place to go. 6 Pounds of food may not sound like a lot (if you’re crazy), but think of it as a small child. Yeah, that’s right, you’re heading a small delicious child made of eggs, sausage, pepperoni and hash browns. [I have not watched this episode yet and I couldn't find all the rules, but will update when I do. Feel free to chime in if you can fill in the blanks below]

Do you like chickens? Ok, maybe eggs are more your thing, if so you’re going to want to head down to the Broken Yolk Cafe in beautiful San Diego, CA and set your sights on the Broken Yolk Special. The entire meal fills a 15″ pizza pan consisting of a 12 egg omelet along side home fries and biscuits. Do you have what it takes to devour this monstrosity?

I’m a big fan of breakfast food so these breakfast challenges always appeal to me more than 10 pounds of beef or 30″ of pizza, I may have to make a drive up to Wisconsin to check out The King (or Queen) of Johnny V’s Challenge in West Allis, WI. This challenge is definitely fit for a king (or queen) and I am in awe of anyone that can even come close to finishing this. The starch in the pancakes alone would be enough to put me down, I can barely finish 4 pancakes at iHop let alone 8 of them with a side of 10 eggs! So if you’re up for the challenge and love breakfast food as much as I do, this is the challenge for you.

Challenge: The King (or Queen) of Johnny V’s Challenge consists of 10 eggs, 8 pancakes, hash browns, 3 pieces of bacon and sausage, a slice of ham and 2 slices of texas toast.

Breakfast food may be some of the greatest food on the planet so why not indulge yourself in a little slice of heaven at the Waffles Caffe. This massive plate of eggs, waffles, bacon (or other meats), hash browns and toast. So if you’re looking for a little change of pace from the normal burgers, steaks and pizzas and want a sweeter challenge, then head on over to Waffles Caffe and attempt the Iron Man Challenge.

Now we’re not sure if this is really the “worlds biggest omelette” but it’s definitely big. According to the submitter, Drew, it’s possible that nobody has every completed this challenge, so will you be the first? The omelet consists of 15 eggs loaded with veggies, ham, sausage, bacon and cheese plus 2 orders of hash browns and 4 pieces of buttered toast. And if that doesn’t sound like a lot of food in general, try piling all of this into your stomach in less than 30 minutes.

Consisting of more eggs than I probably eat in a month, this gigantic omelet is only for the egg lovers out there. If you’re feeling daring and really need a T-shirt then Mr. B’s Pancake House is where you should be headed. Every Monday they have $2.95 all you can eat pancakes and they even have root beer… on tap! There is always something on special at this restaurant so why not stop in and have a bite to eat, and while you’re at it try The Big “B” Omelet Contest!
