And we’re back, sorry about the delay in posting this challenge, with the holiday last week things got a little hectic. This challenge was featured on Man v. Food last week when Adam and crew headed down to Little Rock to give the “Shut Up Juice Challenge” a try. This challenge consists of a pulled pork sandwich covered in “Shut Up Juice” which is an extremely hot sauce slathered all over the meat. It looked quite delicious, but Adam’s face showed a different story.

It appears that you can now purchase Shut Up Juice directly from Mean Pig BBQ, but it’s going to cost you… $30 for a 5 oz bottle!!! If $30 is a little too expensive for you, you can always check out other Hot Sauces

I am one of many that has failed this horrific challenge. This Sandwich was by far the hottest thing I have ever tasted. Will NEVER try this again, and Dare you to try the challenge. The challenge has no time limit. The prize is a shirt, but should be a purple star or nobel prize or something instead of a shirt. And the rules are, you have to eat the whole sandwich, no getting up from the table, drink anything you want (milk/water/tea/coke/holy water/). After your done, keep the sandwich down for 5 minutes without throwing up. I laughed, so did Adam and we both threw up eventually. And I only had half of my sandwich.
I accomplished this challenge back in the summer of 07. This is hot but I think Adam (the host, no relation) was acting a little overboard.
If you choose to do this, be prepared this is HOT. Very hot. The most important advice I can give is coat your stomach first (milk or something creamy) and eat the thing as fast you can. I wasn’t able to coat my stomach before hand because I am lactose intolerant.
Oh I should mention, when I did it in 2007 I had to pay for the sandwich but the T-Shirt was free.
I went in this past Friday @ 5:30 and completed the challenge in 4 1/2 minutes. This was the hottest thing I have ever encountered anywhere. I will definitely NOT do this again!!
theres no time limit
I had a friend pick this up for me as I live about two hours away. I ate the sandwich in about 3 minutes. It was the hottest thing I have ever eaten and I am a chili head. I was able to get it down and after about five minutes it quit burning. About an hour later I thought I was going to die from stomach pain. I think I should have coated my stomach first but I’m not sure even that would have helped. I didn’t do it at the restaraunt so I didn’t even get a t-shirt.
one rule: you have to keep it down for 5 mins after all is said and done. plus, you have to eat EVERYTHING, including the bun scraps.
Please join me and a brave group of warrior souls in the “shut up juice challenge” at the Mean Pig BBQ in Cabot June 19 @ 2pm.. We are attempting to break the record of number of people to survive at once.. You don’t have to participate, but please come and show your love and support for this great group of men..
I will try to be there and join you at this challenge.
Hey fawn my name is raphael. I became the 196th person out over 13,000 attempts to complete the shut up juice challenge. I want to do it again to make history , but no one has the nerves to go with me. When is the next time , you going to have people going there and trying the challenge?
When I tried this the sandwich was coated in so much sauce, you had to eat it with a fork. I watched Adam on man vs. food do this and noticied his was covered with about half of the amount of sauce. Not saying Adam had anything to do with it, but I think the owner cut back on it more then he would for a regular customer.
Our group of guys from Grace Family Church on the 16th….3 of us completed the challenge and hurt for the next day. Hurt more than I have ever hurt before in my life. Someone asked me if it was worth it and I said yeah as long as I dont have to do it again. It was fun and we have a story to tell but I regretted it after I completed it. I think the other guys did too.
Do you sell the shut up juice?
Yes they do sell the shut up juice sauce
Finished the sandwhich in a minute and a half. Burn didn’t sink in till they started the 5 minute timer. Did this around noon today and 8 hours later I still can’t get up without extremely painful stomach pains that have been coming in waves and are almost unbearable.
I believe on Man V. Food, he said that the Shut Up Juice looked exactly like lava. I watched Man V. Food the other day, and it makes me want to try this sauce. I am an extreme chillihead, and I haven’t found anything that is too hot for me. I eat extremely hot sauces every single day.
I dip things in it, I put the sauces on food and I even mix the sauces in food. The hotter, the better it is for me. I just love my hot sauces, and I have a refrigerator, plus a cabinet full of some of the hottest sauces around.
I really want to try the Shut Up Juice, but for $30? That’s kind of steap in price, but I guess there’s a reason for that. I would like to know what the Shut Up Juice is made from. Is it Habinero peppers, or the ghost pepper?
The reason why I am asking is because habinero peppers are indeed hot, but they’re not the hottest thing around, so I don’t see the need for a wavor for a sauce that is made from habeneros. I would also like to know the scoville units for this sauce. If it is just 1 million scoville units then that’s not the hottest sauce around.
I have had sauces that are 1 million scoville units and those sauces are excellent. They can actually go as high as 16 million scoville units, and those sauces are limited editions which are very expensive, something like $80 or so.
I eat so much hot sauce that my blood is permiated with it, and if I get my own blood in my eyes, it really burns very badly. Yes, I have lava for blood! haha!
Anyway, I would really love to try the Shut Up Juice to see what all the fuss is about. Of course, there are those hot wings places that have their own variety of very hot wings with their own challenges.
A place called Wings To Go has a challenge with their Homicide sauce. You get 20 wings that you must eat in about 6 minutes ofr so, and then if you beat the challenge, you get a T-shirt, your photo on a wall, a bumper sticker, and I believe something else but I can’t remember what it was at the moment. Oh yeah, bragging rights! That was what I was thinking of.
So if you’re brave enough, go out and take these spicy food challenges. Who knows, you just might win something.
A few weeks ago I had some 3mil scoville sauce and it was pretty darn intense. I’m planning on making the trip over to Cabot from Memphis here in a few weeks hopefully. Should be fun. The car ride home is gonna be miserable though.
how much does the shut up sauce burger cost? i want to try the burger
I attempted this challenge and got the T-shirt. Had me on my knees the next day! Very riffing the tummy! I ate in about 5 min. The entire staff actually came out and watched me. Afterwards he showed us where they cooked the meat and gave to rest of my friends a free plate of ribs! All really nice people but would do it again.
uhhh not hot at all i just ate the sandwich and asked for more suj aka shut up juice…
